There was a suggestion over at BloggerLuv to write how each of us deals with stress. I thought is was a great idea, no one is immune to stress and as online entrepreneurs we may all have some great suggestions for one another.
While there are many ways I deal with stress there is one thing I thought would be the best for this post. It is the piece of paper I stare at daily while sitting at the computer. Awhile ago I typed some of my favorite improve your attitude quotes and this list helps me on a daily basis.
Here is that list:
There are two big forces at work, external and internal. We have very little control over external forces such as tornadoes, earthquakes, floods, disasters, illness and pain. What really matters is the internal force. How do I respond to those disasters? Over that I have complete control.
Experience is not what happens to man; it is what a man does with what happens to him.
It is the way we react to circumstances that determines our feeling.
No one on earth can hurt you, unless you accept the hurt in your own mind….The problem is not other people, it is your reaction.
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
You may be dead broke and that’s a reality, but in spirit you may be brimming over with optimism, joy and energy. The reality of your life may result from many outside factors, none of which you can control. Your attitudes, however, reflect the ways in which you evaluate what is happening.
H. Stanley Judd
I’ve never been poor, only broke. Being poor is a frame of mind. Being broke is only a temporary situation.
It is not the position, but the disposition.
Like the waves of the sea are the ways of fate as we voyage thru life. ‘Tis the set of the soul which decides it’s goal and not the calm or strife.
Ella Wheeler Wilcox
The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining.
John F. Kennedy
So do these quotes work? They work for me, they give me a sense of accountability for my mood and my stress level. I hope you enjoyed the list and hope they help someone out there de-stress a bit!
