Affiliate marketing is a very profitable business model based on a simple concept: incentive based marketing. The incentive is derived from profit sharing or affiliate commissions. Why would online marketers set up affiliate programs and share their profits with you? The reason is because these online merchants always want more traffic and exposure. However they would not be able to generate nearly as much traffic if they did all the marketing by themselves, so they create affiliate programs. In other words, they create an “online sales team” that can go out and generate all this extra traffic and sales for them.
