There has been a lot of buzz around the internet and blogger community about the recent changes that occurred on December 1, 2009. As well there should be, because on December 1, the FTC’s final guidelines governing endorsements and testimonials went into effect. This change effects testimonial advertisements, bloggers, and celebrity endorsements.
I have not yet come across what I think is the “right” answer around the internet community or blogosphere that talks about how to properly deal with these changes. However, on Mike Young’s site he does have a free report on how to comply with the guidelines. The best idea, in my opinion, is to get a lawyer to tell you what you need to do to comply.
