In case you haven’t noticed, I have not posted in awhile; I have been down with the sickness, big time. I am feeling better now and finally got back on the computer and into the blogosphere and then……….. I took a look at my stats. Boy, if I wasn’t sick enough before after taking a look at those, I just about wretched.
If you belong to many social networks or communities you may be like me and not know all the features offered by each one. With so many out there I am amazed at the people who do. While visiting Keith Bloemendaal’s site Hot Blog Tips I came across this YouTube video about Blog Engage which is a great site for bloggers. It is the official Blog Engage Introduction which taught me things about Blog Engage I did not already know, so I thought I would share. You may have already seen it but if not here it is:
I realize that many have more than one blog; I write for a few of my own and guest post for others. I originally set up this blog to help others learn as I learned. Letting them know tips and new things I have learned along the way during my online experience. Throughout this mission, I have noticed that I have lost my own personality along the way. Sure I can add things to this blog to add more personality, but I have had thoughts of starting a more personal blog, sort of a mishmash of whatever I want to write.
During the course of the last few weeks I have been noticing things that I don’t necessarily like about my blog, that is not a good thing, it is my blog. Also, during the later months of 2009 I was ignoring things, such as updates, OUCH, as well as other things.
I have been doing a lot of rethinking about how my blog looks and what is really missing to satisfy me. Then I got to thinking, although it is my blog, it is my readers that I want to help and make visiting my blog a pleasant experience.
The title I have for this post may be a bit misleading; I always have something to say. However, it may not always fit the niche such as this blog, which is mostly about blogging and internet marketing.
So I pose the question, do you blog anyway when you have nothing to say? Many bloggers say you should post daily for better search engine rankings and readership. My belief is not to put up a bunch of junk just to get your blog to rank higher. I believe it may be a great way to lose visitors and to insult your readers.
