Humor For Humpday – The Internet Overdose Song
Keyword Match Types
When doing keyword research for your niche site or your next post it is important to know what each of the keyword match types mean. When I say keyword match types I am referring to Google using the Google Keyword Tool.
Google defines the match types as follows:
- Broad match: keyword (no punctuation)
Allows your ad to show for searches on similar phrases and relevant variations - Phrase match: “keyword”
Allows your ad to show for searches that match the exact phrase - Exact match: [keyword]
Allows your ad to show for searches that match the exact phrase exclusively
Squidoo Marketing
I read many blogs with some tremendous advice on blogging. As a blogger and internet marketer, I do not see much mention of the use of Squidoo as a traffic generator and income provider.
Granted, Squidoo marketing is not the quickest way to get good traffic but I believe it should not be ignored. Much like article marketing, Squidoo gets your site out there. When people are looking for specific information and they find your lens, your RSS feed and website will be there.
Setting up SEO Quake Correctly
SEO Quake is a plugin for Firefox and comes in very handy when doing market analysis for whatever niche you are in. SEO Quake pulls back data from competing websites in your niche letting you know how strong your competition is.
As I found out the hard way, there is a right and a wrong way to set up SEO Quake. If you are in the default settings it may cause some trouble for you with Google. What do I mean by trouble? Basically, you would be pulling too much data, too often, and Google would then ban your IP address. Although, this ban is not permanent, lastly 15 minutes to a couple hours, you still can’t search and that is a problem.
ECONNREFUSED – Connection refused by server Error
While attempting to upload to a file using FileZilla the other day I ran into this error message “ECONNREFUSED – Connection refused by server”. It never seems to fail that, when I am moving right along, up pops an issue I need to figure out or am unfamiliar with.
After going through the motions of changing my passwords, as well as some other steps, I finally gave up, left the computer and began to stew about it. I tried to figure out what had recently changed on my system that would cause this to happen, since it was not occurring before.
