Failure, Blogging, and Online Entrepreneurship

A large part of the reason that individuals stop blogging or even quit trying to pursue online entrepreneurship is due to failure. From just the fear of failure to failure itself, it can stop online entrepreneurs in their tracks. One must conquer this fear or overcome the failure to prevail in the online world. Although, there are many self-help books and sites out there to help you with failure I would like to share a few things that have come across my path in the recent days.

Do Inline Text Ads Hurt Page Rank?– A Split Test

There has been much debate throughout my research about putting paid inline text links on your site and if it hurts your Google page rank. We all know that Google page rank should not be your only focus but the question still remains.

With my thirst for knowledge I could not help but investigate this for myself. So I did my own split-test. I took two of my sites that started in the same month that had the same amount of postings a week and started, of course with no Google page rank.

Preparing For 2010 – Happy New Year!

I have not been posting much recently, and although it was somewhat due to the holidays, the holidays are not entirely to blame. I have been going through some discouragement with my blogging and online business, which I believe is all too common in many people who are online entrepreneurs.

Looking back at 2009 there were many things I did accomplish and much of what I thought I would accomplish I did not. Getting too caught up in what I did not accomplish, instead of focusing on what I did weaved a web of negative mindset for me.

In that post I also stated that I would write a post on how you can lower your Google Analytics bounce rate.
