Holly Mann the author of Honest Riches and Davin Ogden author of The Viral Sanctuary have created a powerful social network! The Honest Marketing Movement in their words is “The Social Network for people who value honesty, integrity and professionalism in all of their online business practices. Striving to take back the Internet and make it what it was supposed to be.”

Holly and Davin never cease to amaze me, after the honest books they have both written to their helpful tips and advice, they now have created this social network!

While learning all the ins-and-outs of blogging, internet marketing, and making money online, there is one crucial thing that I have not read to much of. Now keep in mind that I could have missed it, it happens. This factor is inspired action.

Without inspiration to write, inform, learn, blog, etc. you will find working online quite a task and at times not the joy you want it to be. For example, some of my sites and products are easy to write about because I know them, I believe in them and I am passionate about them.

I have read link cloaking and masking are synonymous, however different people say different things. So upon research this is what I have found about link cloaking, masking, and branding. Link Cloaking

There are two different ways that I have learned of link cloaking and I have seen both repeated many times the same way so I will touch on both. First, people cloak their links to basically hide affiliate links. For example lets just say I want to promote a clickbank product (which by the way I highly recommend), I get my clickbank link and it looks like this http://dabmkt.mannco.hop.clickbank.net

While reading through some forums I found a post for a free banner maker call on a site called Banner Fans. I have been using is a bit and must say it is a nice, free tool. I have used other free banner makers in the past and they have always had some sort of catch, so far I am not seeing one with this. With the banner maker you can choose your font, color, border, and get the code or download the banner. I have used it for one of my sites and so far I am quite pleased with Banner Fans.

This difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org was one of the many questions I had when I first started website development and blogging. I continued to get the same question from others who were creating their sites too, so I thought I would address it.

WordPress.com is a hosted way to create a blog or website. What that means is there in no need for downloads and installations. Your site is hosted by WordPress. WordPress.org is a self-hosted option, which basically means you need to purchase web-hosting and a domain name. With WordPress.com your site would look like this http://www.mysite.wordpress.com and with WordPress.org is would look like http://www.mysite.com.
