One Way Links and Reciprocal Links
Getting one-way or reciprocal links to your website can help increase your traffic. Many individual however do not understand the difference between the two types and how to get them. Below is a brief summary of both one-way links and reciprocal links.
One-way links are links that go to your site without having a link from your site. One-way links can increase traffic and improve the popularity of your page. You can gain one-way links by writing articles and publishing them to article directories. You may also make a page on your site for articles that has your link on it; if others republish your article your site will be linked with your republished article.
If article writing is not your style then you can get listed in business and blog directories, join business associations, make use of the social networking craze and make sure your sites are there for others to see.
Reciprocal links are when two sites agree to link to one another. When using Reciprocal links you need to evaluate the sites quality, relevance, and resource pages and make sure they would be a good match. After you have placed a link on your site you need to contact the site owner and suggest/ask for a link back. It is a good idea to have where you believe the link should be placed on their site in mind. Reciprocal links should be of good quality and relevant to your content. Search Engines do take into account the quality of the sites linking to you.
Google describes quality content as “useful, information-rich site, and write pages that clearly and accurately describe your content.” I am currently in the process of testing a service that is cost effective and provides good quality backlinks. I will keep you posted on the outcome of the services goal.
